Beyond the Court: Become a Mentor
The GCU Alumni Association and Office of Career Development have established a forum for alumni willing to mentor and advise current students who are preparing to enter the work force.
Serve as a Mentor
Build and sustain a voluntary,one-on-one relationship with a current student built upon:
- Respect
- Mutual exchange
- Interpersonal support
The Mentoring Process
Some important aspects of a mentoring relationship are:
• Setting goals and expectations for the relationship.
• Listening to one another, asking relevant,thoughtful questions.
• Maintaining a learning posture in all interactions.
