Join the Office of Institutional Advancement for a special showing of Mrs. Gould's 18th Annual Holiday Social at a discounted rate for Georgian Court alumni.

Spend a glorious afternoon with Mrs. Gould and meet the woman of whom Peter Pan playwright, Sir James Barrie, wrote affectionately, "I would stand all day in the street just to catch a glimpse of Consuelo getting into her carriage."

Born into luxury and privilege, Consuelo Vanderbilt was the only child of Alva, the outspoken and dominating matriarch of the Vanderbilt family. Shades of Downton Abbey are echoed in Consuelo's true-life story when she is forced into an ill-fated marriage of privilege.

The nearly-broke Duke of Marlborough, Charles Spencer-Churchill, negotiated a $2.5 million dowry to enter the loveless union and save his estates. Eventually Alva discovers true love with another and builds a life for herself as an acclaimed socialite, suffragette, and philanthropist.
