Georgian Court University and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University

An Overview of the Medical Profession

Mini-Medical School is a collaborative, community-based program for high school students in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, sponsored by the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, and Hackensack Meridian Health.  2019 will mark our first year partnering with Georgian Court University.  The goal of the program is to expose students to the many rewarding careers in medicine and related professions; provide them the opportunity to hear from health care professionals about their journey, and the challenges and joys in their work.   Mini-Medical School has been in existence since 2013; in 2014, it was one of the recipients of the School Leader Award from the New Jersey School Board Association. Since inception, more than 500 students have graduated from Mini-Medical School.
