Class Notes Elizabeth Ferguson 5/16/2017  
Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. (Applied DNA, "the Company") (NASDAQ: APDN), a provider of DNA-based supply-chain, anti-counterfeiting and anti-theft technology, product genotyping and DNA mass production for diagnostics, appointed Elizabeth M. Schmalz Ferguson to the Company's Board of Directors, effective June 1, 2017. Ms. Ferguson was selected to serve based on her sterling track record of accomplishments as a strategist and product leader within the cosmetics industry. This appointment brings the total number of Board members to eight.

The Honorable Marlene Lynch Ford, S.C.J., '76 was sworn in as a state Superior Court judge for Burlington County in the family division. Prior to this, Marlene was the Ocean County Prosecutor, a Superior Court judge in Ocean County, and a NJ Assemblywoman.

Amy will be conferred an honorary doctorate by Canisius College at their 2017 commencement. Amy is past chair of the board of directors for Petri Baking Products Inc., which manufactured more than 200 different varieties of cookies under the Petri, Bakery Fresh and other private label brands. Habib is a former member of the Canisius College Board of Trustees and recipient of the LaSalle Medal and Regents Distinguished Citizen Award. She earned her MS from Canisius in 1963.
