Karen Sherrier Semple '83 is the reading coach at Brielle Elementary where she has been teaching for over 30 years. Oldest daughter, Genevieve, received her master's in education from GCU and is teaching 6th-grade social studies in Holmdel. She and her husband, Warren, have two children - Wyatt (3) and Faye (2). Karen and her husband, Jim, love being grandparents. Their son, Jim, became a doctor in May and is an emergency room resident at St. Lukes In Manhattan. Daughter KellyAnne Choper just completed her master's in art therapy and counseling. Karen and Jim are proud parents and grandparents. Lisa Dreher '16, a teacher at the Freehold Township High School, has been selected as one of five teachers from New Jersey honored as fellows in the Bayer-National Science Teachers Association's New Science Teacher Academy. Fellows will get to participate in a variety of science-related professional development activities, including access to a web-based curriculum, having a discipline-specific mentor, and financial support to attend the 2016 National Conference on Science Education in Los Angeles.

Deborah Kanter, M.A., '05 is now program coordinator, Community Service Learning Program, KinderSmile Foundation. The foundation provides free dental care to underprivileged children in New Jersey and abroad, and advocates for the increase in oral care access and oral health education for low-income children.

Prior to this she was an English teacher at Freehold Township and red Bank Regional Schools; a guidance counselor and director of school counseling at Red Bank Regional. She is also president of the Monmouth County Guidance Director Association. She and her husband, Joe, have four children - Tiffany, Amanda, Melissa, and Andre.
