The Georgian Court University Alumni Association is a group of former GCU students and University executives dedicated to furthering the goals of the University while advancing their careers and staying connected to the school’s community.
Members of the alumni association participate in a wide range of activities including:
- Fundraising campaigns
- Volunteer opportunities
- Career workshops
Types of Alumni Memberships
Membership is free and open to anyone who holds a bachelors or master’s degree from Georgian Court University. This includes degrees that refer to the University’s former name, Georgian Court College.
Anyone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from GCU is known as a full member. They can attend meetings, hold offices and vote for board members. All members are encouraged to join a committee.
Anyone who completed at least one semester, or 12 credits, at GCU but is no longer enrolled can become an associate member. They may attend meetings, be on a committee and vote for board members, but cannot hold an office.
Honorary members are anyone who holds a current executive leadership position in the Sisters of Mercy and/or the University, along with those who have honorary degrees. Honorary members are entitled to the privilege of the floor, may not vote or hold an office.
The mission of the Georgian Court University Alumni Association is to further the spiritual, cultural, and intellectual growth of the alumni of GCU. We seek to enhance the bond among its members and partner with the University in its mission, goals and financial growth. We are committed to serve our members and the University.
The members of the Association shall model core values, advocate for alumni in community engagement with the University, assist the Office of Institutional Advancement in effectively serving the alumni, encourage alumni spirit of service and support to current students, support the University in realizing its mission and goals, and promote financial support of the University.
